Sze Wai Chan

Dr. Sze-Wai Chan is a medical oncologist and director of clinical research at Sandton Oncology in Johannesburg, South Africa. Her main clinical and research interests are lung cancer, melanoma and skin cancer, and head, neck and urogenital cancers, building on her MMed thesis on EGFR mutations in non-small cell lung cancer in South Africa. She serves as principal and sub-investigator on local and international clinical trials, sat on the scientific programme committee for WCLC 2025 in Barcelona, is an executive member of SASMO since 2022, and is vice president of the Melanoma Society South Africa. She is a frequent speaker at major international thoracic oncology congresses.
