Jean Yannis Perentes

Prof. Jean Yannis Perentes is Full Professor and a senior attending physician (médecin chef) in the Thoracic Surgery Service at CHUV (Lausanne University Hospital) in Lausanne, Switzerland. An MD-PhD who trained in tumor biology at Harvard’s Edwin Steele Laboratory, he co-directs the Thoracic Cancer Translational Research Laboratory, focusing on remodeling the immune microenvironment of thoracic tumors, intravital imaging, and minimally invasive lung cancer surgery. He leads a Phase I trial of pressurized intrathoracic hyperthermic aerosol cisplatin (PITHAC) for pleural carcinosis and has published extensively on VATS segmentectomy and enhanced recovery after thoracic surgery. He is a frequent speaker at major international thoracic oncology congresses.
