Dr. Jacob Sands is a thoracic medical oncologist and Associate Chief of the Lowe Center for Thoracic Oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, where he also serves as an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School. He leads the institute’s clinical small cell lung cancer program and conducts trials of novel therapies, with a particular focus on antibody-drug conjugates such as datopotamab deruxtecan, alongside work to advance lung cancer screening and early detection. He sits on the NCCN guidelines committees for small cell lung cancer and CT lung screening and the IASLC Screening and Early Detection Committee, and is a frequent speaker at major international oncology congresses.
