Dr. Hidehito Horinouchi is a medical oncologist and Assistant Chief of the Department of Thoracic Oncology at the National Cancer Center Hospital in Tokyo, Japan. His work centres on new drug development and multimodality treatment of thoracic malignancies, spanning chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgery and immunotherapy.
He has helped plan and run many clinical trials in thoracic oncology and serves as Secretary General of the Japan Clinical Oncology Group (JCOG). He is Deputy Chief of the National Cancer Center’s Center for Education and Professional Career Development and holds education committee roles with the Japanese Society of Medical Oncology (JSMO), the Japan Lung Cancer Society (JLCS) and the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC).
