Alessandra Curioni-Fontecedro

Prof. Alessandra Curioni-Fontecedro is Full Professor of Oncology at the University of Fribourg and Head of Medical Oncology at the Hôpital Fribourgeois (HFR) in Fribourg, Switzerland. She directs the Laboratory of Applied Cancer Research, where her work centers on thoracic malignancies — lung cancer and mesothelioma — with a focus on immunotherapy, mechanisms of resistance to immune checkpoint inhibitors, and the tumor microenvironment. She is President of the Lung Cancer Project Group of the Swiss Group for Clinical Cancer Research (SAKK) and coordinates the Lung Cancer Programme of the European School of Oncology (ESO). She is a frequent speaker at major international thoracic oncology congresses.
