Nuria Novoa

Prof. Nuria M. Novoa is Head of the Department of General Thoracic Surgery at Hospital Universitario Puerta de Hierro-Majadahonda in Madrid, Spain, and Associate Professor of Thoracic Surgery at the University of Salamanca. Her research centres on the surgical management of non-small cell lung cancer, preoperative risk estimation, postoperative outcomes and quality of life, including multicentre European work on neoadjuvant immunochemotherapy for resectable lung cancer. She served as President of the European Society of Thoracic Surgeons (ESTS) for the 2024-2025 term and is a frequent speaker at major international thoracic surgery and lung cancer congresses.
